The campuses can be reached by taxis from the airport which lies about 10 kilometer east of the city or public buses from the train station located at the city center (Tugu Train Station). The campuses are also connected by shuttle buses to provide students and staffs intercampus transportation. This shuttle can also be booked for a group tour or other scheduled transportation needs.

In general Yogyakarta knows only two seasons: wet season (October through April) and dry season (April through October). The temperature varies between 25 - 34 C.
The main campus, Kampus Terpadu Kaliurang, is located in a milder temperature due to its higher location about 400 m from the sea level, in the direction to Mount Merapi.
